Mr. Brenner is an accomplished, C-Level executive with a focus on middle-market and early stage companies in the dynamic state of severe financial distress or growth. He has a 20+ years record of consistently delivering exceptional results for both client companies and owned or started ventures.

 

Prior to joining J. Locke & Company, Mr. Brenner was the Managing Member at Penury Partners, LLC, that focused on serving venture, backed technology companies looking to extract value subsequent to the operating plan not coming to full fruition. Clients included leading companies in the travel technology industry, application security and medical devices.

 

As well as working with a number of companies, Mr. Brenner has run several too.  Specifically as a founder of the Denver Marathon & Ruckus Sports, he was instrumental creating participatory sporting events that received recognition as a top 10 marathon and incredibly innovative.  At Cypress Capital, he lead a team building the largest niche buyer of consumer debt in the United States. 

 

He held positions at The Recovery Group (now Deloitte - CRG) and Ernst & Young.  Core skills include cash management, financial modeling, business development and M&A especially under distressed circumstances. 

 

Mr. Brenner received a B.S. in Accounting from Babson College, an MBA from Babson College and is a CPA (former).
